Fuses Safely Extracted From Garage After Investigation

Incident reported at Falls Rd & Asbury Rd.

According to a tweet from Baltimore Firefighters IAAF Local 732, police, firefighters, and a HazMat unit are at the scene of a garage where dynamite was found. They have shut down traffic and warn that they may have to evacuate some buildings in the area.

Firefighters on the scene reported smoke emanating from the second floor. They also requested medics to an evaluation of a person.

Firefighters advised there is one member of the bomb squad who will be assessing the situation. They are also evacuating an area near the garage.

Contrary to the initial update, the presence of dynamite in the garage has not been confirmed.

Firefighters on the scene updated that the explosives were determined to be fuses, and the bomb squad at the scene is taking the package. They also advised the people evacuated will be allowed to return to their buildings.
