A man was fatally shot while reserving parking on the set of "Law & Order: Organized Crime" in Greenpoint Tuesday, reports said. 

At around 5:15 a.m., a 31-year-old man was sitting in a parked car near Norman Avenue and North Henry Street, where [local news reports](https://abc7ny.com/shooting-in-brooklyn-greenpoint-murder-nypd/12060698/) said he was reserving parking spots for the television production as a contracted employee. 

A suspect then approached his car, opened the door, and fired multiple gunshots, striking the man in the face and neck. 

EMS personnel transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

NBC and Universal Television released a statement expressing their sympathies to the victim's family and their cooperation with law enforcement.

No arrests have been made.  Police have not provided information on the motive of the shooting. 

An investigation is ongoing.

Police have requested a helicopter to canvass the Msgr. McGolrick Park.

Police are working to shut down traffic on N Henry St at Nassau Ave.

Police advise that the victim's injuries are life-threatening.
