Police have arrested a man wanted in a deadly double shooting aboard a Muni train in Eureka Valley Wednesday morning.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Javon Green, was arrested Thursday evening in Pittsburg.

At 9:56 a.m. on Wednesday, San Francisco police officers responded to the Forest Hill Station after receiving a report of a shooting.

Officers discovered the train left the station and was headed to Castro Station, where they proceeded and found two victims still on the train with gunshot wounds.

One victim, a 70-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

A second victim, a 27-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, despite life-saving measures by members of the SFFD.

SFPD officers identified the suspect as Green in their investigation, and, with help from local police and a tactical team, executed a search and arrest warrant on the 1000 block of Power Avenue in Pittsburg.

The suspect was arrested without incident, a [police statement](https://www.sanfranciscopolice.org/news/san-francisco-police-investigate-park-district-homicide) said.

Green has been charged with homicide, carrying a concealed firearm, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The SFPD said the incident appears to be isolated and is not believed to be related to Pride festivities or to be targeting any group or community.
