Three people were injured, one fatally, after a car crashed into a car wash in Far Rockaway Wednesday afternoon, officials said. 

At around 4:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a car that crashed into a building near the corner of Mott Avenue and Beach Channel Drive. 

Upon arrival, crews discovered three people had been injured in the crash. 

Medics pronounced one of the victims deceased at the scene. 

The two other victims were transported to an area hospital with injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening. 

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
