Two people were seriously injured after a vehicle rammed through a restaurant's dining patio in Hollywood Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Just before 1 p.m., a dark blue Mercedes Benz struck a restaurant's outdoor dining area in the 4600 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

A 27-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were severely injured and transported to local area hospitals for treatment, according to the LAFD.

The driver of the vehicle, an 84-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

A Citizen user showed footage of the building's exterior damage and wrecked vehicle on the sidewalk.

The building was evacuated pending an investigation by city Building & Safety inspectors, LAFD officials said.

Authorities have not indicated any signs of foul play involved.
