A man was shot in the Jacobi Medical Center ER waiting room Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

At around 12:39 p.m., police reported over emergency communications that a person had been shot inside ER.

Officers responded to 1400  Pelham Parkway S where they discovered the 35-year-old victim had been shot in the arm.

According to a report from the NYPD, the shooting occurred after an argument between two men escalated to gunfire. 

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is active and ongoing.

Man Shot in Arm at Jacobi ER Waiting Area, Police Looking for Armed Suspect

Police have confirmed that a man has been shot in the ER.

The man was shot in the arm according to the officers.

The suspect description is still unknown at the moment.

Police are advising that the incident happened in the waiting area on the first floor.

Police are searching for two suspects who were with the victim according to a witness.

Police have called a level one mobilization, requesting additional units to the scene.

The suspects are described as a man wearing a black hoodie and a blue surgical mask and a woman wearing blue jeans, Ugg boots, clear-rimmed glasses and carrying a purse.

Upon reviewing security footage, police report the suspect left and did not return to the building following the shooting.
