Police arrested a man who allegedly climbed a 50-foot Christmas tree decoration outside the headquarters of Fox News and set it on fire early Wednesday.

The incident occurred at 48th Street and 6th Avenue at about 12:15 a.m.

Citizen user video showed the tree completely engulfed in flames.

Firefighters responded to extinguish the flames. No one was reported injured.

A 49-year-old man was arrested and charged, according to the NYPD.

The suspect has been charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, arson, and other crimes, according to the report.

Police have not determined a motive, but the man had prior arrests, and detectives were investigating whether mental illness was a factor, NYPD officials said.
