One firefighters suffered minor injuries as FDNY personnel battled a five-alarm commercial fire in Harlem early Wednesday.

The fire broke in the row of one-story stores at 490 Lenox Ave at approximately 3 a.m.

Firefighters declared five alarms as more resources were needed to bring the blaze under control. In total, 44 units and about 198 Fire and EMS personnel responded.

The fire was placed under control after about four hours.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries. The stores were all closed when the fire broke out.

The extent of the damage to the stores was not clear.

The FDNY has not confirmed the cause of the fire.

Police are requesting additional units to the location to assist with lanes closure on 135th Street between 5th Avenue and Lenox Avenue.
