One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Bedford-Stuyvesant Thursday morning, police said. 

At 5:15 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at 44 Lewis Avenue, where they located a 29-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. 

EMS personnel transported him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Officers then located a second victim, a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the neck, about two blocks away at 36 Ditmars Street. 

Medics transported him to an area hospital in stable condition. 

NYPD officials said the 30-year-old was then placed into custody and charges are pending against him. 

It is unclear what charges the man faces and if he is considered a suspect in the shooting. 

No additional suspect information was provided in a preliminary statement from officials. 

An investigation is ongoing.
