Person Threw Gun Into Harlem River During Extrication Following Car Crash

Police have received an unconfirmed report of a person trapped in a vehicle after a crash.

Officers are blocking off both sides of the 145th Street Bridge after one of the people involved in the crash threw a gun from the bridge into the Harlem River.

The people that were trapped have been removed from the vehicles and are being examined by EMS personnel.

Harbor units are on the scene to assist with the weapon recovery.
