Four people were injured when a woman drove a car into the lobby of a Ramada hotel in Concourse Monday night, police said.

An NYPD spokesperson said that officers responded just before 11 p.m. to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at Ramada by Wyndham Bronx hotel at 646 Gerard Ave.

Officers were informed that a woman drove into the building and then fled the scene on foot.

EMS transported a 37-year-old woman, a 34-year-old woman, 26-year-old woman, and 19-year-old man to area hospitals in stable condition.

The building was inspected after the collision and shows no structural damage, according to officials. None of the building occupants will need to be relocated.

Video taken by a Citizen user at the scene showed the vehicle inside the building lobby. The user also spoke to an apparent witness who said the suspect had gotten into an altercation with a staff member and a bystander prior to driving into the building. 

Multiple parked vehicles were also shown with damage outside the entrance to the building.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains going.


Four People Injured in Vehicle Crash Into Ramada by Wyndham Hotel

Firefighters are responding to an unconfirmed report of a person trapped within a vehicle after crashing into a house.

Police on scene confirm that the vehicle crashed into the Ramada by Wyndham hotel (An earlier report stating the vehicle crashed into a house was inaccurate and has been updated here.

According to firefighters, the vehicle crashed into the lobby of the hotel and no one has been injured.

Upon further investigation, firefighters report that three people have been injured and that medics have arrived to aid them.

Police have stated that the vehicle has been removed from the building.
