A man who had been fatally stabbed was found at the scene of a residential fire in Soundview Saturday afternoon, officials said. 

At 2:16 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 1211 Manor Avenue. 

Upon arrival, they located flames on the second floor of a two-story house. 

Twelve units—about 60 FDNY members—responded to the scene and worked to extinguish the blaze. 

FDNY officials said that at 2:46 p.m., the fire was deemed under control. 

As firefighters searched the residence, they located an unconscious 71-year-old man with three stab wounds to the neck, according to NYPD officials. 

EMS personnel transported him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. 

Investigations into the cause of the fire and the man's death are ongoing.
