A 49-year-old man was arrested in the fatal stabbing of a 39-year-old man in Koreatown Saturday night.
 
Patrick McDonough was arrested on Monday in the Midtown South area. He has been charged with two counts of murder.

At 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of an assault inside 38 West 31st Street.

Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious man with multiple stab wounds to the neck, shoulder, and arm. 

EMS personnel transported him to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. 

The police announcement states McDonough is homeless.


Suspect Arrested in Fatal Koreatown Stabbing

A 911 caller has reported an unconfirmed incident at 38 W 31st St.

Police have received a report of a man who may have been stabbed.

Police on scene confirm a man has been stabbed.

EMS is treating his injuries, described as life-threatening.

Units advise the suspect is a man who fled in an unknown direction.

Units are checking nearby hospitals for other possible victims.

According to an update from the NYPD, the victim was stabbed multiple times and transported by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
