A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in Bay View Houses in Canarsie shortly just after midnight on Friday, police confirmed.

At about 12:07 a.m., police responded to a 911 of a person shot in the back of houses. Officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.

EMS rushed him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
