A man was fatally electrocuted by the third rail at the 110th Street (2) (3) station in Harlem after attacking two men, officials said. 

According to a report from the NYPD, at around 4 p.m., a naked man assaulted another man unprovoked on a train platform and pushed him onto the tracks.

A second man came down onto the tracks to help the man who had been pushed. The suspect also came down onto the tracks and started attacking the second man. 

The suspect then made contact with the third rail and was fatally electrocuted. 

Police and paramedics responded and pronounced the suspect dead upon their arrival. The two victims were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Police and EMS are responding to an unconfirmed report of a person who fell onto the tracks at the 1 Av Station.

A 911 caller reported the person came into contact with a powered rail line. This is unconfirmed.

Police have received information from MTA transit of an updated address of 110 Street Station Central Park North for a person who fell and struck a powered rail line.

The address reported for this incident has changed to 110th St–Central Park North Station (2) (3).

Firefighters have confirmed two people came into contact with a powered rail line. It is unclear if one or both fell onto the tracks.

EMS have pronounced one person deceased from the fall.

MTA on twitter state all service has been stopped from 96th St to 148th St on the (2) (3) line.
