MTA workers rescued a man from the train tracks during Friday morning rush hour as a Citizen user shared live video from the platform.

User @jesseriah was waiting for the (A) train at the W 4th St-Washington Square subway station just after 8 a.m.

They shared video of a man on the tracks, leaning against a rail. He appeared to have fallen down at the edge of the platform.

Following safety protocol, riders let trained MTA workers climb down to help the man.

First one, then two uniformed MTA workers went down onto the tracks. They lifted the man up onto the platform with the help of a bystander from above.

Thankfully, the man was seen standing and walking once he was safely back on the platform.

The MTA did not respond to requests for further information.
