A 16-year-old boy was killed in a Tuesday night shooting in the Kingsborough Houses, police say.

According to officials, police responded to a a call of a man shot in front of 319 Kingsborough Walk 3. 

Officers arriving at the scene identified a 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the chest. 

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are responding to an unverified report of shots fired.

The address reported for this incident has changed to 319 Kingsborough 3rd Walk.

Officers are requesting a level 1 mobilization for a confirmed man shot.

The shooting occurred inside of the Kingsborough Housing Development.

The extent of injuries is unclear at this time.

NYPD reports a 16-year-old was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.
