A woman was injured after a man pushed her onto the tracks at the Times Sq - 42nd St. Station, police say.

According to officials, the 28-year-old victim was waiting on the northbound NQR platform when a man pushed her onto the tracks from behind. 

Bystanders helped the victim back up onto the platform.

She did not make contact with a train. 

The victim suffered minor injuries to her wrist. 

Police describe the suspect as a man aged 35-40. He is approximately 5'8" and has a light complexion. Police say the suspect has an afro and beard, and was wearing a light blue hoodie, dark blue pants, white sneakers with black laces and a red backpack.

Officials say that the suspect remains at large. 


 

Man Pushed Woman Onto Tracks, Fled

Incident reported at Times Sq-42 St Station (N) (Q) (R) (W).

Police are searching for a man who assaulted a person on the northbound (N) (Q) platform.

Police have called for additional units and resources to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Police have determined that a man pushed a woman onto the tracks.

The man fled onto the street near W 40th St and Broadway.

The suspect is described as a 5'8" man with shaggy hair and a beard, between 40 and 50 years old, wearing all navy blue, including a navy blue jacket.
