Two-Alarm Compactor Fire in High-Rise

Incident reported at 20 W Mosholu Pkwy S.

FDNY are responding to a report of a fire in progress on the 26th floor.

Firefighters on scene state that there is heavy smoke stemming from the fifteenth floor and above.

Firefighters have the fire under control and no further assistance is needed.

Firefighters have transmitted a second alarm as the fire has spread and additional FDNY resources are needed at the scene.

The fire is on the 24th floor of the building. Smoke is affecting areas at and above the 15th floor.

Firefighters report the fire is now under control and extinguished.
