Man Fatally Shot at Deli

Incident reported at E 138th St & Brook Ave.

Police on scene confirm a person was shot at a deli.

The address reported for this incident has changed to 217 Brook Ave.

Police are requesting an ambulance to the scene.

Police are requesting additional units to the scene for crowd control.

Additional units are being requested to assist with the suspect search.

Personnel from the NYPD Emergency Service Unit (ESU) are being requested to assist with a suspect search.

The victim was shot twice in the chest and in the abdomen.

An NYPD spokesperson reports a man was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He was 34 years old.

6:38 PM, FRIDAY — Police responded to a report of shots fired inside of a deli at 217 Brook Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an unconscious 34-year-old male victim who had been shot multiple times in the torso and abdomen. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The circumstances of the shooting are currently unknown. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
